Hear me out… Grunt Style deserves a lot of credit, and this is why:

Over the years, Grunt Style has donated a ton of money to various non-profits. That in itself is commendable. However, they have gone way beyond that.

For years, Grunt Style has been at the forefront of the efforts to get healthcare for Veterans suffering form Burn Pits and Toxic exposure. I personally witnessed Tim Jensen chew out multiple members of Congress at the Capitol. It was glorious.

But the true appreciation I have for Grunt Style is the the relentless attitude of support they have. Grunt Style has given a ton of publicity to non-profits. Hosted symposiums and podcasts to broadcast these important issues to their massive audience.

All this raises awareness, and helps connect those suffering to a community that bands together to support those in need. Grunt Style excels at bringing people together to make a team of likeminded individuals to accomplish a goal.

Proven results

Despite all the roadblocks, and pandemic setbacks they have gotten results. This week, two bills became law that are a direct result from the efforts of organizations of Burn Pits 360. These are:

1.     H.R. 4397, the Department of Defense (DOD) Burn Pits Health Provider Training Act, which requires DOD to implement mandatory training for all medical providers working under DOD on the potential health effects of burn pits.

2.     H.R. 4400, Burn Pit Registry Expansion Act, which requires DOD and VA to expand the Burn Pits Registry to include Egypt and Syria.

The crazy part is this isn’t even the first time Burn Pits 360 helped get the law changed. Furthermore, the VA has begun to expand their list of presumptive conditions associated with burn pits, and train doctors to look for related maladies.

Most of the credit goes to organizations like Burn Pits 360, Grunt Style and Rep Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36). The California Congressman has been a staunch ally of the effort to bring health care to the warfighters exposed to Burn Pits.

However, these efforts usually take time and money. Grunt Style recently donated $20,000 to Burn Pits 360 to help them continue the fight.

So next time you see the signature flag and cross rifles on a Grunt Style shirt, think beyond the apparel and consider just how much good their charitable foundation has done for our generation, and the warfighters yet to come.
